I love textiles. I see the world through textiles. Textiles are everywhere. The Textile Evangelist will advocate for the everyday consumer.

Objective: to make consumers aware of just how much textiles are a part of our everyday lives. They’re not just fabrics we wear or sit on—they’re history, culture, science, survival, expression, and identity. Textiles touch every part of our lives. From the moment we are born and wrapped in a soft blanket to the clothes we choose each morning, textiles are silent companions shaping our comfort, safety, and sense of self.

Who I Am

I am a college professor teaching Fashion Merchandising, Apparel Design, textiles and Consumer Education all based in Family and Consumer Sciences. My world revolves around helping students—and consumers—understand how textiles impact quality of life. Whether it’s design, production, sustainability, or garment care, my role is to empower others with knowledge.

We don’t just wear textiles.

We live in them.

And we can improve our lives by understanding them.
